Rugged High Definition-Mission Data Recorder (HD-MDR)
Azimuth’s HD-MDR is a rugged, high-performance mission data recorder, rigorously tested against the extreme conditions of high-speed military combatant craft. Designed for sea, land, and air platforms, the HD-MDR delivers a powerful computing system that can operate either as a standalone recorder or as part of a larger integrated system, meeting the demanding requirements for reliable, high-quality mission video capture.
At its core, the HD-MDR integrates a multi-channel digital video recorder with platform metadata logging, creating an all-in-one solution for mission-critical data recording. Built around a MIL-STD-810F certified rugged and sealed computing core, it offers exceptional flexibility for video and data capture, storage, and operation.
The HD-MDR operates independently or easily integrates into broader platform command-and-control systems. Built-in Ethernet and CAN interfaces enable seamless metadata capture from navigation systems, IP cameras, environmental triggers, and engine sensors.
Purpose-built for mobile applications where ruggedness, remote control, data accessibility, and ease of integration are paramount, the HD-MDR provides a non-developmental, open-interface foundation. It is available either as a fully integrated component or as a turnkey standalone device requiring minimal installation effort.
Engineered and manufactured entirely in the USA by Azimuth, the HD-MDR features fully specified mechanical, data, and electrical interfaces — delivered without licensing fees or royalties. Azimuth also offers design and integration support to meet customer-specific requirements.
